December Happenings

Hello All! Well, A lot has been going on with us since I posted last. We, like most of you, began decorating for Christmas around the First of December, but didn't actually get our tree until the second weekend. We went to a local Garden shop, picked one out, slapped it on top of the Yukon and off to our house we went with only a seven foot tree this year. :-(
Due to Highland tradition, I was dreading the ride home knowing what was in store for the family. You see, much like the movie "A Christmas Story"my Husband worked in obscenities like other artists work in oils. Have you all seen it? If you haven't, I highly recommend renting it. Anyway, like the father in that story, Grant can't seem to put on the tree lights unless it involves a vast majority of our worst four letter words that aren't meant for anyones' ears, let alone children's. However, much to my surprise and most of all to Grant's, not one four letter word was uttered! He said, in all of his years of putting the lights on he had never had such an easy time of it. That being said, it certainly helped to kick off the season right! :-) We've had the pleasure of attending both Connor and Caleigh's Christmas Programs, we hosted a Dirty Santa party and Hosted an open House Christmas party. If that weren't enough to do, I decided to paint our downstairs bathroom a blue I like to call"Tiffany Box Blue". Did I mention I did that two days before our open house? Don't ask? Anyway, it is one more thing I can mark off the "To Do" list. We are planning a quiet Christmas this year. We will be going to church with our friends the Livingston's again, then to our house for Christmas dinner. I hope this finds everyone doing well this year. Unfortunately, there won't be a Christmas letter, and hopefully there will be a card soon. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
